Industrial process

The processing of agricultural raw materials requires the development of a wide variety of technologies. The continuous improvement of our processes for greater industrial and environmental performance and the implementation of enhanced analytical control guarantee our customers ingredients of high quality and functionality.
Our challenge
Being environmentally friendly and ensuring energy efficiency through our industrial fractionation and purification processes while promoting performance through high productivity.
Our objectives
- Reduce our environmental impact: develop water- and energy-efficient processes, recycle waste and co-products with a zero-waste approach.
- Exploit the full potential of processed raw materials, at the required level of quality in a cascading approach: food and human health, animal nutrition, non-food uses and energy.
- Finding new techniques to optimally improve raw material processing processes
- Develop energy production through ethanol production and methanization.

Application examples
A new washhouse in Connantre
The sugar refinery-distillery installed a new washing plant as early as the 2021/22 sugar harvest. This increased the plant's capacity to 27,000 tonnes of beet per day (+22%) and placed Connantre among the world's leading beet sugar refineries. It also reduced energy consumption by 30% and water consumption by 50% in the washing activity, which is essential to the beet transformation process.
In Brazil, Diverse-ltda is banking on methanization
The Diverse-ltda starch plant in Palmital, Brazil, has been using a biogas digester for two years to treat starch production effluent, generate biogas for use by the plant, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. With a treatment capacity of 110 m3 of effluent per hour, this digester is one of the largest units of its type installed in Latin America.
